Welcome back Atalantars!
Erika here to update you all about the marvelous trees we got for the garden! After a fun trip to Elizabeth, Colorado, Atalanta is now the proud owner of 10 different apple trees, 2 cherry trees, 1 plum cot. In addition we also got 1 josta berry, 6 gooseberry, and 6 raspberry bushes! We will plant all of them in our garden to harvest and enjoy in the summer months. Due to the cold, when the trees and bushes first arrived, we planted them in a fashion called a cold plant- basically this means the trees were lightly covered until the ground warmed up to fully plant them. Then out came the tractor to the land to help with the digging holes process. And now our beautiful trees are in the ground, receiving love, and waiting to provide lots of yummy fruits for us! Next steps for the garden will be planting fresh veggies and keeping up with the watering.
