Joanna Dokson

Joanna founded Atalanta Association in 1994 with a 44 acre land grant from Manitou Foundation. Joanna works full time as a dialysis RN, manages the Baca Grande Stables (lease held by Atalanta), and oversees the Atalanta cooperative garden in it’s 17th year. She is a board member and the onsite manager for Atalanta. 

Dahlan Foah

Dahlan has served on the board since 2015. Dahlan is the President of Visioneering® International, Inc. He has combined his talents in music and the visual arts with a prescient ability to work with emerging technologies, to become one of the founding members of the audiovisual/multimedia industry. As a principal audiovisual consultant to the United Nations, Dahlan brought a powerful artistic sensibility combined with financial management skills to exhibitions, Visitors’ Centres and World’s Fair pavilions as well as many productions and installations for corporate clients. 

Managing multi-million dollar budgets and contract negotiations engendered a second career as a small business consultant. His current focus is primarily as a cultural entrepreneur and is well known as an advisor to emerging companies and artists.

Jeffrey Harrison

Jeffrey has a  road technical background in conventional and alternative energy combined with comprehensive business analysis skills. He is a leader of large and diverse technical and non-technical teams as a creative and resourceful individual with an entrepreneurial spirit that can translate concepts to functional processes. He has successfully written grants for NSF, DoD and DoE solicitations.

Marcella Lunt

Marcella has served on the board since 1997. She studied sustainable development at Prescott College. Her work experience includes program coordinator for youth environmental programs, freelance web developer, EMT and years of volunteer work with nonprofits and schools. 

Hillary Clayton

Hillary is a public school science and math educator and graduate of Ohio State University and Johns Hopkins University. She is committed to doing work in educational equity, including providing opportunities for students and communities to engage with science and sustainability in meaningful and long-lasting ways.

Loretta Covert

Loretta was opened in Subud in April 1988. She has served as a center helper, regional helper and is now a National helper. She is also center treasurer and has served with other positions in Subud.

Loretta moved to Crestone with her family 20 years ago to be part of the Atalanta Association. She joined the Atalanta Board of directors in 2016 and is the Atalanta Liaison to the Crestone Spiritual Alliance.

She has recently retired after 36 years from her private practice in Chinese Medicine which included, Acupuncture, massage, Chinese herbal medicine, energy work and nutrition.

Before studying Chinese Medicine, Loretta studied Horticulture and is now bringing those skills to the Atalanta Garden.

Advisory Board

Illène Pevec

Illène is an author, journalist, children’s activist, and educator who works in developing youth gardens at schools and community centers. Based in Carbondale, Colorado, Pevec serves as the program director for Fat City Farmers, a local food education program in Basalt, Colorado. She is a multinational citizen (Brazil, US, and Canada) and has developed youth gardens in all three countries. Pevec authored Growing a Life: Teen Gardeners Harvest Food, Health, and Joy (New Village Press 2016), a book that integrates her work in US community youth gardens with observations from other disciplines to generate a better understanding of the positive effect mentored urban gardening can have on youth development.

Reynold Ruslan Feldman

Ruslan is a “pro-tired” university English professor, dean, and academic vice-president. He also has experience as a foundation consultant, nonprofit administrator and trustee, consultant to nonprofits, international student advisor, workshop facilitator, conference coordinator, fundraiser for charities, tutor, speechwriter, editor, professional researcher, personal coach, and author. http://www.reynoldruslan.com/About-Us.html

Hamidah Glasgow

Hamidah has been the Executive Director and Curator at The Center for Fine Art Photography in Fort Collins, Colorado since 2009. Hamidah holds a master’s degree in humanities with a specialization in visual and gender studies and a bachelor’s degree in philosophy. Hamidah’s contribution to photography has included curatorial projects, national portfolio reviews (FotoFest, Photolucida, Medium, Center, Filter, etc.), professional development education programs, contributions to publications and online magazines and the co-hosting of regional conferences. Hamidah is also a co-founder of the Strange Fire Collective. Lucien Pevec
